ALL SERVICES SUSPENDED
Due to the possibility of spreading Covid-19 (the Corona virus) the council passed a motion at our meeting Tuesday, March 17, to suspend ALL worship services, AND other church-related activities for four (4) weeks. We will meet again on April 14, 2020 to evaluate the need to continue the suspension of worship and activities or to resume them as normally scheduled.
A very special THANK YOU to all of our snow shovelers!!! The sidewalks always seem to get done in a timely manner, sometimes regardless of who is scheduled. You are very much appreciated!!
The OSLC Congregation has been invited by Pastor Barb to join the members of the Methodist Church for a Bible Study/Short Service at 4:00 PM on Ash Wednesday.
Ladies Bible Study
Alyssa Hammond is leading a Ladies Bible Study group at OSL. This will be an ongoing meeting occurring the second Tuesday of each month at 1:00 P.M. in the church's fellowship hall. If you have any questions, you can call Alyssa at 218-590-6349 or email at email@example.com, or call Kate at 218-780-2436. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Please come and join us!
Yes, we are still quilting. There have been many beautiful quilts created, as you can see as Diane B. loves decorating the church with them.
We would love to have you join the group in the basement on Wednesdays anytime after 9:00 a.m. We seem to stay anywhere between 12:00 and 12:30.
Lenten Wednesday Services
Soup suppers at the Host Church will begin at 5:30 p.m. The Worship Service will begin at 6 pm.
The Host church is responsible for preparing a Worship bulletin, selecting music, providing an organist, having scripture readers, having ushers, and taking up the Offering. The Host church paster or representative is asked to provide a few words of welcome at the beginning of the Worship Service.
The Worship materials are now available. They will be delivered to you. The sample sermon is included, but you can prepare your own sermon. The Offering is for the Food Shelf the first 4 Wednesdays. The April 1 offering will be for MEMA. Thank you all for your willingness to assist in our Wednesday Lenten Services. May in all we do give glory to God!
